At KGTA, our team is made up of passionate, highly qualified tutors who bring a wealth of industry knowledge and teaching experience. More than just teachers, they are mentors who inspire, support, and guide each student to reach their full potential. Kiri Golding

Principal - Kiri Golding Theatre Arts Romsey & Hampshire

Kiri Golding is a freelance dance artist and facilitator with over 15 years’ experience across Hampshire and Wiltshire. She delivers ASC, PPA and CPD sessions in styles ranging from ballet to authentic street dance.

Holding a First-Class BA (Hons) in Choreography and Dance (University of Winchester) and teaching qualifications with the NATD, Kiri also holds specialist credentials in Contemporary, Acrobatic Arts, Preschool Dance, Musical Theatre (iPATH), and Authentic Street Dance (Urban Strides).


As a CDMT Recognised Teacher, she upholds the highest standards in safeguarding and professional practice, ensuring a safe and inspiring learning environment for all.


A proud female entrepreneur, Kiri runs several ventures including Kiri Golding Theatre Arts, Magic Castings, Disco Diva South, and Kiri Golding Dance Specialist. Previously, she managed seven theatre schools with over 350 students, producing large-scale shows, international performances, and achieving a 94% Distinction rate in NATD and Trinity College exams.


Kiri has lectured at the University of Winchester and the University of Southampton, choreographed for Southampton Operatic Society, and delivers Ofqual-registered dance teaching qualifications for aspiring teachers aged 12+.



Her mission is to motivate and inspire performers of all ages through fun, professional, and technically strong training that helps every student reach their full potential.

Katie Hankins

Principal - Kiri Golding Theatre Arts Salisbury

Katie has been performing since a young age, having trained for 12 years in Performing Arts and having performed on multiple big stages in many different roles.


She works during the day as a SEND Teaching Assistant, helping support children with additional needs. She also works at multiple Performing Arts after-school clubs, helping to teach the arts to children and bring joy through the art of performing. She has been teaching Performing Arts for 2 years, currently teaching on a Friday at KGTA and is continually working to improve professionally. Katie is also working at gaining new qualifications, most recently her Teaching Diploma.


She also works as a Party Performer and can often be seen as some of your favourite Disney Princesses. On top of this she is currently rehearsing to perform on the Disneyland Stage next Autumn.


She has previously performed in roles such as Margot in Legally Blonde at Salisbury Playhouse, Ginge/Fairy in Shrek the Musical, Florika in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Elsa in a Musical Medley of Frozen the musical - to name a few.


She had had many opportunities that have allowed her to assist Professional Performers at a Lion King Workshop with Ope Sowande who played Simba on tour and Kelly Downing from the cast of Hamilton on the West End.


Katie continues to strive to bring the best experience of learning performing arts to students and hopes they can share in her love of performing arts.

Freya Golding

Musical Theatre Teacher

Freya is a triple threat performer, having just graduated with her Musical Theatre degree at the University of Winchester. 


Television & Film

  • Britain’s Most Evil Killers (2017): Portrayed the teenage victim of Peter Tobin 
  • Final Score (2018): Appeared as a West Ham football supporter in this cinema feature 
  • Enola Holmes 2 (2022): Appeared as a Handmaid alongside Millie Bobby Brown
  • Sandman (2022) (Netflix): Appeared as a Student in the lecture theatre
  • The Union (2024): Appeared as an extra
  • Wicked (2025): Appeared as a Munchkin (with singing role)

Freya has an extensive stage résumé, particularly in musical theatre:

  • Les Misérables - Mayflower Theatre — Ensemble member (Pauper) 
  • The Addams Family— Lead, playing Wednesday Addams 
  • We Will Rock You — Lead role as Scaramouche 
  • Rock Around the Gaumont (Mayflower Musical Youth Theatre) — Lead as Sandra
    Other roles include ensemble and lead characters in Pirates of Penzance, Music Halls, and Little Shop of Horrors, all staged between 2016 and 2018.
  • Evita - Mayflower Studios - Principal role, Perons Mistress
  • Suessical the Musical - Mayflower Studios - Principal role, Bird Girl
  • The Addams Family - The Plaza Theatre - Supporting role, Dead Flapper Girl
  • Guys and Dolls - Mayflower Studios - Principal role, Hot Box Dancer

Freya currently works professionally in the industry and continuously is looking to inspire the next generation of performers.


Most recently Freya has formed a 80’s Party band called Disco Divas alongside performing solo at events such as: The New Forest Show, Southampton Pride and Salisbury Live. 

Nicola Golding

Romsey Front of House Manager

Alongside her role of Front of House Manager, Nici is no stranger to the performing arts world as she avidly performs and is cast regularly in Musicals, TV Commercial, Blockbuster Movies and Short Films across the nation.

Nici enjoys spending her spare time performing with her local amateur dramatics group, Southampton Operatic Society, where she performs alongside her daughters Freya and Kiri.

Sarah Hemmings

Early Years Facilitator

Miss Sarah is Best Known for being the Crazy Pink hair Dance Teacher but her talent speaks for itself. Sarah has been teaching across Hampshire for the past 6 years and is experienced in delivering creative dance lesson, Freestyle Disco and Street Dance. Miss Sarah is a member of the IDTA and the ADFP where she Adjudicates Championship, Trophy Days and Festivals.


Her performance credits include:

  • Alice in wonderland as a Jester and a Jam of tarts ( Queen of hearts ) - Parkwood School of dance at the QE2 Theatre , Winchester college 
  • 2 shows a year at The Point theatre with Spinners Dance school every year, totally to over 15 shows
  • Dancer - Variety Show (2012) - The Berry Theatre 
  • Ensemble - West Side Story - Barton Peveril College
  • Co-Director / Choreographer / Dancer - Scarlett Hood
  • Performer - Musical Revue


She has also choreographed several summer shows with a variety of different dance schools across the south coast.

Btech Level 3 Extended diploma in performing arts ( Dance ) 

SQA Level 3 diploma in live events and Promotion 

SQA Level 3 Certificate in Principals of the Creative and cultural sector 

Advanced Level Apprenticeship in live events and promotion.
